Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed test cases and scripts using TestRail for all new features and existing functionality.
  • Perform manual regression testing across multiple environments (Dev, UAT, Prod) to ensure existing functionality remains intact after updates.
  • Conduct manual testing of new features, focusing on state-specific features (e.g., Metrc, BioTrack, non-compliance states), and ensuring they function as expected.
  • Identify, document, and track defects in JIRA, ensuring clear communication with developers for timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with the QA Automation Engineer to ensure that manual and automated tests complement each other, providing full test coverage.
  • Assist in test planning, providing input on areas that need additional attention or specific test cases.
  • Report on test progress, bugs, and test results, in Slack communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skill Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manual testing within a software environment.
  • Proven ability to create detailed test cases and scripts, preferably using TestRail or similar test management tools.
  • Experience with manual regression testing and feature validation.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or other issue-tracking tools for documenting defects and test cases.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to think critically about feature requirements and possible edge cases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documentation and clear reporting (English).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work during US time zones and collaborate effectively in remote settings.

Nice to Have

A note to candidates

Studies have shown that women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they meet every single one of the qualifications as described in a job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company and we are most interested in finding the BEST candidate for the job. That candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background, and that’s okay. We would strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't believe you meet every one of the qualifications described.
