Minneosota’s Medical Cannabis Program is operated by the Department of Health. There are no specific statewide systems that licencees are required to report data to. 

Medical: Yes

Recreational: No

Grower/Cultivator licenses allow licensees to cultivate, dry, trim, or cure and package marijuana for sale to a processor or dispensary.

There are 2 active cultivators in Minnesota. The state has not notified when more cultivation licenses will become available. 

Each registered cultivator can operate no more than 4 distribution facilities in state.

The state of Minnesota recommends cultivation operations to use a seed-to-sale tracking software. Flourish software offers seed-to-sale tracking as one of the core features and is designed to help cultivators stay compliant at all times.

Dispensary licenses allow licensees to purchase cannabis from a grower or processor and sell, supply, or provide cannabis to patients, directly or through the patient’s caregiver. In Minnesota, dispensaries are known as Patient Care Centers.
