BioTrack's rules, built into the workflow

Florida requires every medical marijuana treatment center to run an internal seed-to-sale system that's fully integrated with the state's BioTrack system over its API, and there's no direct login to the state system. Flourish is that system: it submits to BioTrack in real time and shows a pending-sync status until the state confirms. It also filters conversions to what BioTrack allows, warns when a usable weight is off by more than 5%, blocks manifests that BioTrack would reject, and makes the adjustments BioTrack's limits require automatically. What changed, and what to ask before you renew

In August 2025, Metrc and BioTrack announced a partnership that moved BioTrack's government-facing operations to a new company, BT Government, and BioTrack said it would focus on commercial ERP and point of sale. Around the same time, states began moving off BioTrack. None of this means your BioTrack software stops working tomorrow. It does mean you should know who you're buying from and what happens to your data when your state's system changes.

BioTrack hasn't announced an end to its commercial software. Here's what has changed. In August 2025, BioTrack's government traceability operations moved to a new company, BT Government, in a partnership with Metrc, and BioTrack said it would focus on commercial ERP and point of sale. Illinois moved from BioTrack to Metrc in 2025, New York followed in December 2025, and New Mexico moved to its own NMS2S system in September 2026. Florida and Connecticut still use BioTrack as the state system.

No. The state system is the traceability database a state contracts for, now operated by BT Government. BioTrack's commercial software is what an operator buys to run the business. In Florida, operators can't log in to the state system directly: they need an internal system, like Flourish, that's fully integrated with it.
