New York Operators: Everything Is Going to be All Right!
We wanted to provide an update on the BioTrack NY API integration and clarify some details as you prepare for this transition.
-
You do not need to be on BioTrack's software now or ever, and
-
We, as your inventory tracking system, will be ready to go when NY's STS BioTrack instance is live.
Below, we’ve outlined key points in a Q&A format for your convenience:
Q: Is the BioTrack integration fully built?
A: Yes, the integration is fully built and already live in Florida, which uses the same API. We are currently completing the required test scripts for API certification.
Q: When do licensees need to notify the OCM about their tracking system vendor?
A: According to the OCM website, licensees must notify the OCM of their chosen inventory tracking system vendor by January 17th, 2025
Q: When will Flourish’s integration be certified?
A: We anticipate being certified well before January 17th, 2025.
Q: What additional steps are required for licensees to prepare?
A: While you’ve already set up Areas and an item master with BioTrack categories in your Flourish instance, we’ll likely perform a data cleanup exercise if necessary. This ensures all information is accurate and ready for go-live.
Q: What about transportation manifests?
A: You can continue using the OCM Transportation Manifest as required by Section 125.10(g) of Title 9 Part 125. Note that entering a transfer in the API is not a substitution for a transportation manifest. Flourish has already deployed a PDF of the NY manifest for your use.
Q: Will there be more resources to support this transition?
A: Yes, the OCM will release additional details about implementation logistics, and webinars will soon be scheduled for integrators and licensees. We’ll provide updates as we receive them.
Q: Where can I find the latest state’s FAQ guide for Biotrack?
A: Here you go!
FYI, You Don't Need to Use Biotrack's Software!
With the OCM’s upcoming requirement for all adult-use license holders to adopt a third-party software by January 17, 2025, now is the time to explore the benefits of cutting-edge technology.
Given the high stakes in New York, making this decision sooner rather than later is essential. Flourish, a cannabis software platform designed to integrate sales, operations, and finance while ensuring seed-to-sale compliance, also seamlessly syncs with BioTrack to meet OCM mandates.
Flourish provides cannabis operators in New York and nationwide with a comprehensive solution that adapts to evolving state requirements.
